I love all seasons. But during the winter Germany gets dark and bleak. The sun rises at 8:30/9:00 am and sets by 4:30pm. So when Isaac found out we could join him for a week on his TDY to the Grand Canary Islands we very eagerly went. (Note: we still paid out of pocket for our part of the hotel, food, and flights. Not wasting tax dollars on our vacay ☺️)
It was just what we needed. We laid out in the sun on the beach and at the pool. We shopped, we ate delicious food. We took the boys to a water park one day. Bc it was off season we didn't have to wait in line one time. The boys also enjoyed a very tickley fish pedi.
We also enjoyed a day at an Angry Birds them park. The boys were in heaven. Everything was larger than life and they had a blast.
